The Annual Fund is the funding source for a broad range of local and international Foundation programs. Rotary members volunteer their time and expertise to work with communities on meaningful projects that use contributions to the Annual Fund wisely.
In 2022-23, donors gave US$147.6 million to the Annual Fund. These contributions come from members, other people who support Rotary’s goals, corporations, and workplace giving programs (some of which can be matched by employers to increase your donation).
President Connie Bunyard opened the meeting, Dick Myren led the Pledge of Allegiance, Polly Cady gave a Thought of the Day, and John Pennypacker led the club in singing the Rotary Four-Way Test. Today’s guests included Bridget Stahl, Karen Wohl, and former exchange students, Olivia and Lotte.

Hi everyone! My name is Gaby Cutlip, and I've been a proud member of the Mesa West Rotary Club since November 2024. Joining Rotary has been an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded people who share a passion for service, leadership, and making a positive impact in our community. I was drawn to Rotary because it reflects the values I've tried to live by throughout my life: giving back, building relationships, and finding meaningful ways to serve others.
Professionally, I serve as the Community Engagement Strategist for the Mesa Police Department, where I oversee youth programs and initiatives that strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and the community. Before joining Mesa PD, I spent 15 years working in education, supporting students, families, and community programs. I also founded Mamis Love Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing year-round support, educational resources, and opportunities for underserved children and families. Although we're a new organization, we have a big vision and are excited to continue expanding our impact throughout Arizona.
When I'm not working or volunteering, you'll usually find me spending time with my family. My three daughters are my greatest motivation and inspire me to continue growing both personally and professionally. My husband, David, shares my passion for serving others and is my biggest supporter in every initiative I take on. Our family also includes Kevin, our lovable Great Dane puppy, who definitely keeps life entertaining!
I'm grateful to be part of the Rotary family and look forward to building new friendships, serving alongside each of you, and continuing to make a difference in our community.
Note: Gaby is a Mesa West Rotary Club Director through the end of this Rotary year.
Consider this your invitation to submit articles to the weekly club newsletter, MESSENGER.
New members could tell about themselves, Committee Chairs could tell about committee happenings and needs, long-time members can share their wisdom and knowledge, volunteer project leaders or members could request support or share about their experiences. This is your newsletter, join in to help make it more informative and educational!
As Rotarians, we are regularly exposed to opportunities to support various causes with our time, talent and treasure. Sometimes it is hard to sift through all the information and decide where we are going to use our available financial resources.
It would be wonderful if every Mesa West Rotarian would make the following BIG FOUR their Rotary charities of choice and support every one of them every year, we could make a bigger difference than we are making today.
