Today’s meeting was a Club Assembly, and the topics included membership and engagement. Club members gave examples of what made them want to join Rotary and what makes them feel engaged. Then members formed small discussion groups to discuss further and brainstorm ideas on how to attract and retain new members. Some ideas included a more organized introduction process for new members, furthering the cause (continuation and improvement of existing causes), one or two members mentoring new members, short discussion time to talk to each other at meetings, being open to new causes, sitting with different people each meeting, and club social events.
