Next, President Connie Bunyard awarded Amyla Buckhannon a scholarship check from Mesa West. Amyla spoke about why she joined Interact, her experience with Interact, and her goals for the future.
Today’s meeting topic was Club Assembly. President Connie gave an overview of Rotary’s history and organization around the world, an overview of club goals for the year, and then had a couple of committee chairs introduce themselves through a Q&A session.

Erica McBeth is the Public Image Committee Chair. The Public Image Committee helps to get the message of Rotary, and Mesa West specifically, out to the world. Please take lots of pictures at events such as club meetings, volunteer activities, and social events, and then send those pictures to Erica at emcbeth22@gmail.com. She could use some committee members, and Erica also offered to teach members the basics of Instagram.

Captain John Birks is the Service Committee Chair. The Service Committee finds and organizes the volunteer service projects for the club. Please let John know if you have any ideas for volunteer projects at John.Birks@usw.salvationarmy.org. He could use some committee members. He also shared his idea to volunteer for a nonprofit that helps homeless veterans here in Arizona.
Here are the Mesa West Rotary Club's committees. All committees need more volunteer committee members!
