Today’s speaker was Erica McBeth who became a member of Mesa West Rotary Club about a year ago. She is taking over the McKinney-Vento/Rotary Builds Bridges program from Colleen and is a Board member. She presented information about her project to author a book entitled “52 New Friends”, where she met and had conversations with one new person each week for a year. The project began in 2017 after she had been struggling with several issues, including depression. Within several months of starting this project, she felt better. All proceeds from the book go to suicide prevention. She used what she learned to help others and to build her marketing business.
