Council on Resolutions

The process for making changes in how Rotary International operates is interesting.  As Alternate Council Member for District 5495, John Pennypacker recently received a link to items to be considered in the upcoming Council on Resolutions - https://my.rotary.org/en/cor/vote.  All Rotarians are welcome to view the items to be considered.  

 

There will be a period where comments can be made on each of the proposed resolutions followed by a period of time where each voting delegate will cast their votes to support or not support each Resolution.  Comments must be about a specific item and are limited to 100 words in the language they are submitted.  Most comments will be translated and distributed to Council Members.  Offensive comments or those without substance (such as "I support this item") may be eliminated at the discretion of the Chair.  

 

The votes will influence the RI Directors, but the directors will make final decisions on any action taken as a result of the Resolutions.

 

Each District in the world of Rotary has one vote, allowing the various cultures and perspectives represented in our international organization to have an equitable voice in the process of considering change.
