The Mesa Citizens of the Year Association and Udall Shumway PLC hosted The Spirit of Mesa recognition event on the evening of February 19 at the Mesa Hilton. The event honored Mesa's 2018 Woman of the Year for 2018 - Ruth F. Collins, and our own Stephen L. West as Mesa's 2018 Man of the Year.Student Community Service Awards were also presented at the event. One of the recipients, Sandra Franco, also has a Mesa West Rotary connection. She is a member of the Interact Club at Westwood High School.
