Don LaBarge was born in Bennington, Vermont.  He was the oldest of seven children.  As a teen, Don dreamed of becoming a fireman or police officer.  He served twenty years as a Phoenix Police Officer/Detective, and has spent the past twenty-seven years as a self-employed entrepreneur.

Don has been an Arizona resident for forty-seven and a half years.  He has lived in only two states - Vermont and Arizona.  He has traveled to twenty foreign countries, but is fluent only in English.

Don has been married to Christine for forty years.  They have three children (Chandra, Robert and Grant) but no grandchildren or great grandchildren yet.

Don says the location and time of year for his favorite vacation memories is time spent camping in Greer in the summertime.

Don says his most rewarding volunteer experience was "building the flag center in front of the mess hall at Boy Scouts of America's Camp Geronimo near Pine, Arizona."
