Our Foundation’s Annual Fund is the source of funding for the local and international grant projects we get to do as Rotarians. Contributions to our Annual Fund are used to make these humanitarian projects possible. For example, when you give to the Annual Fund, you help provide clean water and toilets so girls can attend school and community health is improved in impoverished areas of the world.
Giving to the Annual Fund supports Rotarian-driven projects just like these — projects that are created at the local level, fostered through international fellowship, and developed to meet the needs of the community. Through a single gift, you can help with water and sanitation projects.
The Rotary Foundation has six areas of focus:
- Promoting peace
- Fighting disease
- Providing clean water
- Saving mothers and children
- Supporting education
- Growing local economies
This year, our District Governor, Nancy VanPelt, has made EREY giving a requirement for a club to receive the District's Club Achievement Award. The deadline for documenting the accomplishment of award criteria is May 1, 2018. It is suggested that each member review their personal giving since July 1, 2017 and go on-line to their myrotary account and donate on line if they have not yet made their annual fund donation.
To assure that you will always carry your weight for our club but, more importantly, be a part of the good that TRF does in the world, sign up through the site to make regular monthly, quarterly, or annual donations, so you don't have to remember to make your EREY contribution.
