
The Mesa Police Department's Citizen Police Academy (CPA) provides participants with an understanding of how the Mesa Police Department operates and a better understanding of their role in the community. During the academy, you can interact with police executives and veteran officers. Mesa West Rotary Club’s Gaby Cutlip runs the program.
The CPA is an eight (8) session academy held over a 7 week timeframe. There are two all day Saturday classes and 6 Thursday evening classes. weeks. You must be able to attend both Saturdays and only miss one (1) Thursday.
Saturdays: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Thursdays: 5:30 to 8:30 pm

Also, the Mesa Police Academy will soon be looking for volunteers to assist in Field Problems training. This is where you get to “act” during a scripted scenario, or could help in other ways such as filming. These are all-day trainings, so they provide food and refreshments each day. Upcoming dates are:
